Tis Litsas Ta Kamomata

Very cozy family run restaurant with great food, friendly service and beautiful scenery.We stopped over in Mid April, so off season, but they were nonetheless very accommodating and organized a delicious lunch for us.

Lovely traditional Greek taverna with wonderful views of the hills and sea. Lovely flowers make it very colourful. Lots of tables all with good views. Lovely menu with a variety of traditional home cooked food and service is very friendly. Food very tasty enjoyed homemade Greek pastries, meatballs in tomato sauce and chicken with potatoes.

Amazing place with delicious food. Very kind and helpful staff. You can really feel that the place is run by a family with love for food. The place itself is located on the top of the mountains with amazing view. There is also a little shop with homemade products. At the end of our supper we were gifted an amazing homemade grape liqueur. It’s a real gem and you should definitely visit this place!We spent around 50 for two starters, two main dishes and something to drink for both of us.

Afrata, small village near kolymbari.. we were informed about this tavern. So again we went for our early dinner there.First of all spectacular view and while you drive to go there and from the table we sit.The thing that I liked was that the menu wasn't huge.. certain choices .. so we had rabbit,apaki and interesting stoifado mushrooms, which was mushrooms with red sauce and many onions.Again everything was tasty. We recommend to go there next time you will be around.

Every time I am in Crete, l go to this restaurant. We always eat a lot of starters, and end up not really having room for the main courses, but still order one or two because the food here is so good. It is worth a visit even if it is a bit far away. The owners are very nice people, and serve you in a good and friendly way. The mushrooms and spicy peppers are a must. The toilets are clean! I have been to Ta Litsas Ta Kamomata again today (07.06.2019), and the food was excellent- again!!! We were so lucky to get seats yesterday (31.07.2020), and the food and the service is as good as always!

Very cozy restaurant with magnificent views and a great Cretan kitchen. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We recommend the 'meatballs'! We came back to spend our last evening on Crete there, a prefect ending for our holiday.

Very good food and friendly staff. The views are lovely but really the food is fantastic. Definitely the best lunch I had in Crete and washed to go back. In fact I'll probably go back before I leave. Order the smoked pork loin with the mandarin jam! It's a little out of the way which makes it so much nicer and you feel like you've discovered a local treasure. They also have a shop to buy local goods like herbs, honey, oil and wine. You can go for a nice swim in the beach nearby away from the tourists (even in high season).

Wow wow wow!!!! What an amazing food we had here! Also the view is great and the service was incredibly friendly!We highly recommend this taverna and especially some dishes that we didn’t see in any other tavern in Crete and which were stunning (black eyed peas salad with herring, octopus salad with beans, sheep milk iceman with kunefe inside). Also the fava, the goat and the imam were incredibly good!
